: Contemporary Peninsular and Latin American Literature. Gender Studies, Lesbian Studies, Queer Readings. Books: Lecturas desde la otra acera: Esther Tusquets, Cristina Peri Rossi, Sylvia Molloy y Carme Riera (Libros del Pexe, 2005), Tortilleras: Latina Lesbians (Temple Press, 2003, co-editor). Articles on Rosa Montero, Cristina Peri Rossi, Esther Tusquets, Carmen Riera, and other women writers. Also articles on instructional technology, and study abroad. Courses and seminars on "The Hsipanic Theater", "Space and Literature", "Literature through Film", "Short Stories by Spanish Women Writers", Spanish for Business, Culture and Civilization of Spain.

Developer of a number of Spanish web sites, including on-line Spanish courses for the Continuing Education Program at the University of Kentucky. Co-development of Encuentros con España, Segovia Virtual Study Abroad, Pasaporte a España, and the podcast in Spanish Impresiones de España, three Web sites directed to students studying abroad, as well as Tuning in to Spanish and Negocios en Español. Site Director and summer professor on several occasions for the Kentucky Institute for International Studies program in Spain.
