Hello! My name is Amanda Mattingly. Welcome to our class website! I am a 2nd grade teacher at Clarkson Elementary School in Clarkson, Kentucky. I spent the first 21 years of my life in Clarkson with my mom - Brenda, dad - Don, brother - Scott, and sister - Sarah. I graduated from Grayson County High School in 2000 and began college that fall at Elizabethtown Community College and later Western Kentucky University. I graduated from WKU in May 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. In the summer of 2006 I began work on my master's classes toward a Library Media degree. So once again I am a college student and taking classes through WKU. :) Upon graduating, I taught at Cox's Creek Elementary in Nelson County. Then for the next three years I taught at New Highland Elementary School in Elizabethtown. Last year I was given the opportunity to move closer back to my hometown and teach at Clarkson Elementary School. I attended to Clarkson as a child and love getting to work with all of the amazing kids in my room this year. I have been married for six wonderful years to my husband Joey. Joey is a dispatcher at Kentucky State Police and also grew up in Grayson County. In 2007 we became the proud parents of a beautiful little girl, Railey Dawn. :). She is so much fun to watch as she grows and learns more each day. Last year we moved back to to GC and are thrilled to be closer for friends & family once again. Feel free to contact me any time. You can reach me by email (see the link on the homepage) or by phone at school. Thanks for learning more about me. I look forward to an exciting year. Graphics & Background Obtained from: Normack, H.
