Labels

Black and white,
These are just names,
Just things, labels, that we use to separate each other.
But no-one is black or white.
You’ve never seen a black person,
Or a white person.
You see colored people,
People of color.
You’re not white;
You’re a shade of peach.
You’re not black;
You’re a shade of peach.
You see we are all colored.
You and me and that kid down the street,
We’re all different shades and tints of the same color,
Humanity.
