I’m from Legos, books and soccer balls.
I am from the bonus room
Messy, comfortable and fun to play in.
I am from white dogwood trees
And small, red geraniums.
I am from looking for Easter eggs in the yard
And reading tons of books.
From the Magic Tree House to Harry Potter.
From Bill and Carol
I am from don’t chew with your mouth open
And don’t whine.
From sometimes being stuck in a book and not hearing teachers’ voices.

I’m From You can’t bring a book to church
From come inside it’s time to take a bath.
I’m from getting a bible and doing activities.
I’m from Kansas and Kentucky.
Cheese grits and homemade bread.
From Ginna falling down the stairs and losing a tooth.
From Tucker’s broken leg while playing football.
I’m from kicking a soccer ball and shooting hoops to always reading
A book before bed.
Pictures and letters of younger times and walls filled with memories of my family.
