Have You Heard From Johannesburg

Connie Field’s documentary work has won many awards, including a Primetime Emmy, the Sundance Grand Jury Prize, and two International Documentary Association awards, and been nominated for two Academy Awards. Have You Heard from Johannesburg is a seven-part series covering the global movement to end apartheid in South Africa, beginning in 1948 and ending in 1990 when Nelson Mandela was freed. The series “is a triumph of maximalist filmmaking, and you won’t look at your watch once.”
(Melissa Anderson, The Village Voice)
