2005 Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest

The Winners in the National Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators contest have been announced. For more information on the contest or to view the winning entries visit www.readingrainbow.com We invite you to join us for the 2006 contest, details of which will be available in early January. Congratulations to all who entered the 2005 contest, you're all winners.

 

Congratulations to the winners in the 2005 WKYU-PBS Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators contest. Nearly 200 youngsters from throughout Kentucky wrote and illustrated original works in the local contest.

Four local first place winners from K-3rd grades now go on to compete nationally. The four winning entries dealt with the trials and tribulations of being and Aunt, a fictional trip to Hawaii, A bird moving on up , and a cowboy that knows how to celebrate birthdays. National winners will be announced in mid-June. Good luck local winners, and thanks to all who helped to make this years contest the best ever.
