
Kids at T.C. Cherry and Briarwood Elementary school were treated to a visit by Arthur, the character made popular in the animated PBS cartoon series (airing weekdays at 10am and 5pm). Arthur and WKYU-PBS kicked-off the Southern Kentucky Book Fest with the school visits on Friday, April 18th. Kindergarten through third-grade students enjoyed an Arthur book read aloud by WKYU-PBS staff, after which, the anthropomorphic aardvark met the children. Arthur and his creator, author Marc Brown, also greeted children at the Southern Kentucky Book Festival on Saturday, April 19th.
