Student Checklist

  • Students with 90 or more earned credit hours need to complete the online Contact Form via http://www.wku.edu/wkufinish/.  Anyone with less than 90 earned hours, please contact WKU REAL at 270-745-3575 or check out our website at http://www.wku.edu/real/. The online contact form is used to initiate the process of getting you started on the road to complete your degree. Be sure on the last question "How Prospect Learned About Us" to mark "WKU Project Finish" so we get your information. 
  • Apply for financial aid by completing and submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You may apply online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.  Also, please refer to our scholarship link for awards to adult students at the Adult Student Service web site http://www.wku.edu/real/scholarships.html.
  • Complete an admissions application and submit college transcripts from any college or university you have attended since your last semester at WKU.  Please note that the application fee is waived. You may apply online via http://www.wku.edu/Info/Admissions/.

  • Receive letter of acceptance and information about registering.
  • Call or schedule an advising appointment to meet with an academic advisor and officially enroll. Advisors will discuss your iCAP report showing what courses you need to take to complete your degree.  If you were a student prior to 1990, your advisor will discuss a mock degree program with you; then, you will file an official degree program with the university. See your advisor for more details.
  • Receive billings statement and pay tuition and fees via mail, online, or in person.
