National Volunteer Week at WKU
Across our great nation, many campuses and communities celebrate National Volunteer Week in April, and Western Kentucky University's ALIVE Center for Community Partnerships and WKU's Leadership & Volunteerism office collaborates each year to encourage campus and community members to volunteer and celebrate volunteers. This year, we will celebrate National Volunteer Week April 22-26, 2013, one week after the national recognition week. We have activities planned for different days of the week, and we would appreciate your support in making the week a success.
Snapshots of Service photo display will be featured at the Greek Week blood drive on Monday, CANstruct on Tuesday, Yard Sale on Wednesday, and Style a Senior on Thursday.

Canned goods
Those individuals that are unable a participate as a group, can donate non-perishable items for CANstruct for a Cause until April 17th. Donations can be dropped off at the WKU ALIVE Center or Student Activities office. Cans can also be brought to the event on April 23rd.
Yard sale items
If you would like to donate items for the Yard Sale, please bring them to Cravens 13 or contact mindy.johnson@wku.edu for more information. Items will be accepted until April 23rd.
T-shirts
If your organization has left over t-shirts from an event, consider donating the shirts to the Style a Senior project. Shirts can be dropped off at the ALIVE Center or Student Activities office until April 17th.
Snapshots of Service
Students, faculty, and staff interested in participating in Snapshots of Service can submit photos until 12 PM on Wednesday, April 17th. Photos must be submitted in .jpeg format and submitted to hunter.williams@wku.edu by the deadline.
