Peer Mentoring Program The Peer Mentoring Program is designed to develop the leadership skills of exceptional upper division students and to help meet the instructional needs of University Experience course. Peer mentors undergo rigorous training (over 45 hours) and are assigned to those instructors who request one. Dozens of peer mentors are trained each spring and participate in ongoing training and support in the fall and spring when they assist with the teaching of the course. Peer mentors receive a small reduction in tuition during the semester after they have helped teach. They are a valuable resource in the classroom.
