Updates of software that WKU supports and new software as they become available will be presented under this series. Tegrity is our main multimedia content creator system and as such you will always find workshops regarding Tegrity here.
Current workshops include:
- Tegrity Advanced Tools
This workshop will demonstrate the new features in Tegrity: Uploading a class as audio file, embedding video inside a recording, reports,etc. Showcases of Tegrity classes will be presented.
- Assessment Using Blackboard (now includes Blogs and Wikis)
Assessment Using Blackboard workshop covers the pedagogical aspects of assessing students (Bloom's taxonomy) and the tools available in Blackboard to implement such assessment strategies. Information regarding the Testing Center services for proctored exams will also be presented.
- Accessibility for Online Content
This workshop focuses on ways in which instructors can improve the learning experience for all students through improved accessibility. The workshop will focus on: “Alt-tags” for images, accessible PowerPoint, PDF-file and screen readers, text captioning, accessible websites and videos (Tegriry, Quicktime, etc.), testing accommodations for students with disabilities, and more.
