TSOnline Services

Core Goal

As one of the central strategies to support faculty teaching online at Western Kentucky University, the Office of Distance Learning opened the Center of Technology Services for Online Teaching (TSOnline). The core goal of the Center is to provide faculty with a one–stop shop for all their concerns and needs in terms of online teaching and learning. With this aim in mind, TSOnline Center staff members research, develop, and assess best practices for web-based instructional technologies that can potentially enhance student learning.

Mission Statement

The mission of the TSOnline Center is to provide comprehensive support for faculty involved in teaching online to better meet WKU's academic mission. We hope to do this by providing:

• Instructional design assistance for developing online courses
• Support for integrating TEGRITY and other forms of multimedia
• Support in meeting ADA requirements
• Help addressing any other technological concerns that faculty may have.
