WKU Transportation Services is committed to providing safe, courteous, and efficient transportation for students, faculty, staff, and the general public to the WKU campus. A variety of transit services are provided for the WKU community. Service is FREE to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Two fixed day service routes (White Line and Red Line) move passengers from point to point around campus.
Two off-campus routes (Green Line and Purple Line) are used to transport passengers to and from area shopping, recreation, and housing centers.
Para-transit service is provided for disabled passengers and requires an ADA boarding pass, which is available at the PTS office at no charge. All Topper Transit buses are wheelchair lift equipped.
White Line (South Campus Park n' Ride)
Days of Service: Monday - Friday during Spring and Fall semesters. No service during Intersession service or Holidays. Limited summer service.
Hours of Service: 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
- 6 minute frequency 7:15 AM - 3:00 PM
- 12 minute frequency 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Service Area: Travels between Main and South Campus. It covers the central part of Main campus, traveling up Normal Street and down College Heights Blvd.
Points of Interest: Campbell Lane Lot; Cherry Hall; COHH; Creason Lot; DSU; EST; Gary Ransdell Hall; Grise Hall; Helm Library; Jones Jaggers; Keen Hall; MMTH; Parking & Transportation Services (PTS); Parking Structure 1; Parking Structure 2; South Campus; University Blvd Lot; and The Valley.
Blue Line Park n' Ride
Days of Service: Monday - Friday during Spring and Fall semesters. No service during Intersession service or Holidays.
Hours of Service: 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
Service Frequency: 15 minute frequency
Service Area: Provides service from Russellville Road West Commuter C1 Lot to the Main Campus.
Points of Interest: COHH; EST; Gary Ransdell Hall; Gordon Wilson Hall; Grise Hall; Helm Library; MMTH; Parking Structure 1; PFT; Schneider Hall; and The Valley.
Red Line (North Campus Circulator Route)
Days of Service: Monday - Friday during Fall and Spring semesters. No service during Intersession service or Holidays.
Hours of Service: 7:25 AM - 8:30 PM
- 10 minute frequency 7:25 AM - 3:00 PM
- 15 minute frequency 3:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Service Area: Provides service to the main academic corridor on Normal and State Streets. It covers the northern edge of campus toward downtown.
Points of Interest: 11th Avenue; Alumni Square Garage; COHH; The Columns; Creason Lot; EST; Gary Ransdell Hall; Grise Hall; Helm Library; Jones Jaggers; MMTH; PFT; and University Blvd Lot.
Green Line Express
Days of Service: Monday - Saturday during Fall and Spring semesters. No Service during Intersession service and Holidays.
Hours of Service: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Weekdays
Service Frequency: 30 minute
Service Area; The Green Line Express will provide service from the Campbell Lane
Lot to and from
Campbell Lane destinations. Students from Main Campus can take the White Line to Campbell Lane Lot to catch the Green Line Express.
Points of Interest: Barnes & Noble; Greenwood Mall; Kroger; Target; and Walmart.
Days of Service: Monday - Saturday during Fall and Spring Semesters. Reduced service during Intersession service and Holidays.

- 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturdays
- 30 minute frequency weekdays
- 60 minute frequency Saturdays
Service Area: The Green Line provides shuttle service from the Main Campus to South Campus and then shopping destinations along Campbell Lane.

Days of Service: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights during Fall and Spring Semesters. No Service during Intersession service and Holidays.
Hours of Service: 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Service Frequency: 20 minute frequency.
Service Area: The Purple Line provides late evening shuttle service from the Main Campus to downtown along Chestnut and College Street and to off campus housing on Creason Drive and Campbell Lane.
Points of Interest: 8th Avenue and State Street; 13th Avenue and College Street; Campus Pointe; Chestnut Street and Ogden Drive; College Street and Park Row; College Suites; Daystar Village; Keen Hall; The Pointe at Western; Regents Drive and Normal Street; Tidball's; and The Valley.
Topper Transit utilizes the latest in tracking technology. The NextBus system uses a geo-positioning system to track the location of each bus, on each route, and relay that information, in real-time, back to the information center. The system takes the guesswork out of the arrival times of the buses to particular stops.
Riders can simply call (270) 392-3193, enter the bus stop code, and listen to the arrival time of the next bus to that location. Riders with internet accessibility can log on to http://www.nextbus.com/wku to obtain the same information.
The bus stop codes needed to operate the system can be found at each campus stop on all four routes: White Line, Red Line, Green Line, and Purple Line.
Note: Off campus Shopping Shuttle stops may not be currently identified with a sign. Each bus is supplied with a ride guide.
South Campus Park and Ride Lots (C2 Permit)
A convenient alternative to trying to find a parking space on campus is to use the South Campus Park and Ride Lots (C2 Permit). This is a cost effective, time saving service. Free transit service is provided by the WHITE LINE from the Campbell Lane Lot or the South Campus Lot to main campus.
C2 Permits are only $50 per year and allow parking in the Campbell Lane and South Campus Lots at all times. After 2 PM, C2 Permits are honored on the main campus in C1 lots and lots zoned AP - "All Permits." After 4:30 PM, C2 permits are valid in all lots except Housing.
The WHITE LINE provide transit service approximately every 6 minutes during peak service. Bus stops are conveniently located around the perimeter of campus and provide near "front door" service to many academic and residential buildings.
The South Campus Park and Ride service is recommended for commuting students who arrive to campus between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
Note: It is the only permit available to students enrolled in the Gatton Academy of Math and Science. This permit is not recommended for other Housing residents.
Para-transit service is an on-call service available to faculty, staff, and students with a temporary or permanent disability who do not have reasonable access to shuttle services. All Topper Transit buses are wheelchair lift equipped. This option is determined on a case by case basis through the Parking & Transportation Department. Registration is required. GObg Public Transit
The City of Bowling Green offers public transit service to its citizens as GObg. The GObg routes extend to the WKU campus with several popular stops. The GObg purple line includes transportation to area supermarkets and local apartment complexes. To learn more about the service, go to http://www.casoky.org/transportation.

Language Assistance Provided at No Cost
For translated languages, WKU Parking and Transportation Services uses "Google Translate." This is a FREE utility. It has 71 supported languages that translates text from one language into another. You simply type in one language and select the language in which you want the text to be translated.
