WKU graduate wins Tony Award

Darron West, a 1989 WKU graduate and native of Elizabethtown, won a Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Play for the Broadway play “Peter and the Starcatcher.”
West's award was one of five won by “Peter and the Starcatcher,” an inventive play about the origins of Peter Pan. The acclaimed American play by Tony Award nominee Rick Elice is based on a New York Times best-selling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson.
As part of Sunday night’s awards show on CBS, 2004 WKU graduate Adam Perry performed with the cast of “Nice Work If You Can Get It.”
