| Who are the students? |
Presented By: Becky Tabor, Allied Health & Human Services Ask yourself these questions or share your experience with ESL students, and then respond to the listserv using the above address. Do you share these concerns? How do I grade these students when their English might be worse than natives? Do I eliminate all considerations of language correctness and look at content? What do I do as a teacher to help non-native speakers understand the material I’m covering? What do I do when serious problems arise that involve cultural norms? Plagiarism, for example. Do I hold those students to the same code that I do for native students? |
