Contribute to Teaching Excellence for Outstanding Learning at Western Kentucky University

Your tax-deductible gifts to the WKU Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching (FaCET) will provide support for programs that nurture the teaching excellence of our faculty and graduate teaching assistants. Each instructor affected by FaCET programs in turn influences the learning of many classrooms of students.

Why should I give?

There are many good reasons for contributing in support of FaCET. Perhaps you wish to honor a teacher who made a significant contribution to your life or to fund a memorial item for a respected colleague or to help prepare graduate students for careers in teaching.

Your gift also can be used to support activities not allowed for state dollars such as

• bringing in nationally recognized speakers or consultants
• providing special awards for excellence
• buying furniture or other decorative items that create a welcoming environment for faculty and graduate students
• supporting graduate student travel to teaching conferences
• providing coffee and snacks for visitors to the Center or to Center workshops

or to supplement existing state dollars by

• supporting faculty travel to teaching conferences
• buying specialized equipment for discipline specific teaching needs
• purchasing subscriptions to college teaching journals
• supporting special publications
• funding travel or web-design to provide training to off-campus instructors

Gift Information" designate your gift to the Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching (FaCET). Click here to give online to support FaCET activities. In the Comment section at the end of the form indicate if your gift is in honor of a particular person. We welcome your gifts-in-kind, such as furniture, office equipment, household items, etc., to help in equiping our faciltity or for our anual yard sale fundraiser. Please contact the Center for additional information.
