5-Minute FaCETs are mini-workshops that a faculty member can conduct in their own department. We provide the background material, a Powerpoint, and a follow-up email. You schedule a time in a department meeting (preferably near the beginning of the meeting). All we ask in return is a list of who attended. If you have a topic you'd like a mini-workshop on, contact us.
We designed 3 mini-workshops based on: Whitley, Jr, B.E. & Keith-Spiegel, P. (2002). Academic Dishonesty: An Educator’s Guide. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates: Mahwah, NJ
- Confronting Academic Dishonesty
- What Is Academic Dishonesty?
- Building a Climate of Integrity
- You may choose to combine them into one as Blair Thompson did for his Communications department. He also chose to just use handouts instead of displaying the Powerpoint.
- Follow up suggested email
