Regional Faculty Teaching Information

Regional Faculty

FaCET's purpose is to advance the University community’s commitment to excellence in teaching and engagement in learning through exemplary ideas, activities, and resources.  This means that all the regional campuses are included in FaCET’s mission.

Faculty serving regional students provide a vital service by helping students earn a degree with a minimal disruption to their lives.  These faculty also extend higher education’s reach and helps satisfy the state goal of having a more educated citizenry.  Regional campuses also bring more diversity to the WKU family.

Faculty teaching at regional campuses face unique challenges such as space, distance from technology help, distance from comprehensive library resources.  If you teach students at one of the regional campuses (either full-time or part-time, face-to-face, via IVS, or online), and you need any of our educational resources, just let us know.  We would also be happy to plan a seminar for your campus and try to deliver it in the medium of your choice (face-to-face, via IVS, or online).

One of my primary responsibilities is to serve the unique needs of faculty who teach at the regional campuses.  Prior to my appointment at FaCET, I taught full-time in the Department of Teacher Education at WKU.  During that time I taught graduate classes at all of the regional campuses and appreciate how the regional campuses serve WKU students.

I’d love to hear from you.  My email address is and my phone number is 270.745.2503. We think you'll find our high quality, self-paced, online tutorials designed on teaching helpful. Sign up for Teaching@WKU and gain access to short videos and online courses covering IVS at WKU and other facets of college instruction. We could discuss course design, student issues such as plagiarism, or other teaching needs.  You could also contact me to introduce yourself.  I do visit each campus at least once each semester and will visit as many faculty as I am able to at that time.
