Secondary Education Advisor
The Office of Teacher Services is pleased to provide the service of an academic advisor for the secondary education programs for Grades 8-12, P-12, and 5-12. The services provided include:
- Coordinating orientation for new and transfer students
- Individual advising for registration of courses
- Assisting with degree and certification programs
Each of the services listed above will be provided by appointment with the advisor. In order to accommodate the needs of all of the education majors, the advisor welcomes appointments well in advance of the priority registration period. As a Secondary Education major, you will have two advisors. One advisor will be through the academic department and will assist you with the content area advising. The other will be through the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences and will assist you with the advisement of your professional education classes. The College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Secondary Education advisor can be reached in Gary A. Ransdell Hall 2052, by phoning 270-745-4897, or by e-mail. For more information on these education programs, you may visit the academic department for your specific content area.
