The Special Needs Summit is an event for parents, caregivers, professionals, staff, and students who have an interest in the special needs community. Workshops will be offered on various topics relating to special needs, a CEC celebration dance featuring children with special needs will take place in the afternoon, and Jane Kitson will provide some activities for children. The keynote speaker is Dr. Ann P. Kaiser, the Susan W. Gray Professor of Education and Human Development at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
Workshops will be offered to parents, caregivers, professionals, and students on topics relevant to special needs. Topics include:
- Brain Development
- Early Childhood Communication
- Applied Behavior Analysis 101: Methods and Strategies
- Language Development through Music
- Learning How to Take Care of Ourselves While Caring for Other People
Vendor tables providing information on community resources and services will be available.

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for those who register for the whole day.
Registration will take place from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
