PROFESSOR DOUGLAS GOETSCH
The course is being taught by distinguished visiting professor Douglas Goetsch. Goetsch is the author of three full-length collections of poetry – Your Whole Life (1999, Hanging Loose Press), The Job of Being Everybody (winner of the 2003 Cleveland State University Poetry Center Open Book Competition) and Nameless Boy, (forthcoming from Carnegie Mellon University Press) – along with four prize-winning chapbooks. His work has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies including Poetry, The New Yorker, The Gettysburg Review, Best American Poetry, and The Pushcart Prize Anthology. He is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and numerous other awards.
