Options for Evening and Weekend Summer Classes
We want to offer faculty some options for weekend and evening courses. Dean Reid has offered the Community College building as a site for evening and weekend summer classes. We would be saving energy as we congregate, but even better, we can offer students and faculty more convenient parking options, a bookstore in the building, and hopefully some food services, if we have a large enough group. This will allow Facilities Management to close down some of the buildings on the hill earlier instead of waiting until after evening classes.
The Community College building is beautiful, the classrooms include technology; faculty assigned to those rooms will receive keys to the podium, and there are spaces for students to congregate and study. If you would like to plan your evening or weekend class to be held in the Community College, have your Banner course entry person contact Stephanie Hooker (780-2557).
Options for Regional Campus Summer Classes
Regional Campus summer schedules will continue to run at varying times, as they have in the past, to accommodate the student populations at those locations. Fewer but longer class meetings per week, as well as evening and weekend classes fit regional campus students’ schedules much better than five days/week classes and the Regional Campus Associate Deans will again work with you to create flexible class schedules to work for both students and faculty.
Please contact the Regional Campus where your course will be delivered for more schedule options (Elizabethtown/Radcliff/Ft.Knox, Glasgow, Owensboro).
