Travel and Transportation

Once you have your visa, it is time to make your flight arrangements. Please email your itinerary (date of arrival, all flight numbers) to the Exchange Student Coordinator as soon as you have it. You will need to arrive by January 17th and check in at the International Student Office in the Honors College/International Center for the mandatory International Exchange Student Orientation, which is tentatively scheduled to take place January 19-21.

Before you travel, please review the information provided by the International Student Office (ISO) about arriving in the United States.

Your arrival airport should be Nashville, Tennessee (BNA), which is about 70 minutes away from Bowling Green. To get from Nashville to your residence in Bowling Green you will need to make arrangements for an airport pick-up. We recommend scheduling a shuttle through the Bowling Green Shuttle Service, which offers a discounted rate ($55) to WKU students. You can schedule your shuttle here to obtain the WKU rate.

*Please note that the WKU Shuttle Service provides transport only for on campus locations, specifically: Campbell Lane Bus Stop, Creason Lot Bus Stop, Pierce Ford Tower Bus Stop, or Parking Structure #1 on College Heights Boulevard.
