Travel and Transportation

Once you have your visa, it is time to make your flight arrangements. Please let us know your itinerary (date of arrival, all flight numbers) as soon as you have it. You will need to arrive and check in at the Sophia-Downing International Center by no later than August 18th, as the mandatory SAGL International Exchange Student Orientation will be taking place on August 19th.

Before you travel, please review the information provided by the International Student Office (ISO) about arriving in the United States.

Your arrival airport should be Nashville, Tennessee (BNA), which is about 70 minutes away from Bowling Green. To get from Nashville to your residence in Bowling Green, whether that be on- or off-campus, you will need to make arrangements for an airport pick-up. We recommend contacting either WKU's Shuttle Service or the Airport Shuttle of Bowling Green.

*Please note that the WKU Shuttle Service mostly provides transport for on campus locations, specifically:

Campbell Lane Bus Stop, Creason Lot Bus Stop, Pierce Ford Tower Bus Stop, or Parking Structure #1 on College Heights Boulevard.
