Exchange Programs

These offer the opportunity for WKU students to study at one of WKU’s partner institutions for either a semester or a year. Go for in-depth international experience and stay for longer periods to immerse yourself in the culture.

Exchanges enable you to meet other students from all over the world, including the host country. Most of our partners have a core of courses in English, so proficiency in the native language is often not required. Of course, the more language skills you have the better your experience will be – and you can study the foreign language right there in the host country while getting credit!

Check out the links and if when you find an exchange you'd like to pursue, Submit your Request to be Nominated for an Exchange.

BENEFITS:

  • WKU students pay only in-state tuition to WKU, not the host institution

  • Host institution provides access to housing options: campus, apartments, or home stays

  • Host institution provides English-speaking staff to support you

  • Course credit transfers back to WKU as electives, or within majors an minors

  • International medical insurance covers you while outside the US at 100% since US health insurances policies typically don't do this
