Provider Specific Scholarships

 

Many study abroad providers and consortia offer scholarships and grants on a competitive basis to students participating on their programs.

Kentucky Institute for International Studies (KIIS)

KIIS awards more than $75,000 in student scholarships annually.  Students who apply by the early deadline will receive an automatic $100 scholarship.  KIIS also offers individual program scholarships by application.

Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA)

The CCSA Storyteller Scholarship is designed to encourage student participation in CCSA programs by offering a means for students to tell their own CCSA stories.

Semester at Sea

WKU students participating on a Semester at Sea program with an overall GPA of 3.2 or higher are eligible to apply for a special award. Semester at Sea offers a number of scholarships and work study opportunities. Click here to access the application.

American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS)

Offers numerous scholarship and grant opportunities, including scholarships for underrepresented groups in study abroad.

CET Academic Programs

Awards $300,000 in student scholarships annually.  Through a special arrangement, WKU students receive an automatic $1,000 discount on semester programs in Jordan and a $500 discount toward summer programs in Jordan.

CIS Abroad

Offers various scholarship and grant opportunities.

Council On International Educational Exchange (CIEE)

Offers various scholarship and grant opportunities, including scholarships for underrepresented groups in study abroad.

IFSA-Butler

Offers a number of different scholarships and funding resources.

International Studies Abroad (ISA)

Offers various scholarship and grant opportunities, including scholarships for underrepresented groups in study abroad.

Sol Education Abroad

Offers a number of scholarships to deserving students for each program term.

USAC

USAC awards approximately $1.5 million in scholarships and discounts annually.
