Study Abroad @ WKUFaculty visiting this web page are either considering leading a study abroad trip themselves, or are helping a student explore his or her options to study abroad. In either case, your contribution to WKU's efforts to internationalize are appreciated. Study Abroad is one of the most powerful ways a student can enhance critical thinking skills and gain new perspectives. Consequently, as you are probably aware as a faculty member, WKU is currently expanding and investing in All of our efforts and investments in internationalization are designed to benefit the student. We are increasing scholarships for students to study abroad, have virtually eliminated tuition costs for short-term study abroad trips, and are expanding partnerships and opportunities at every turn. You can learn more about these efforts via other links on this website. An important part of WKU's commitment to internationalization benefits you, the faculty member. If you are interested in leading a study abroad trip, and have a location in mind that requires some initial set-up, you are eligible for a $1,000 Study Abroad Course Development Travel Grant from our office, which must be matched by $1,000 from your department or college. These funds are intended to support exploratory visits to new sites. If you are interested in applying, click on Forms and find the Faculty Travel Grant application.
