The International Student Office (ISO) and Study Abroad and Global Learning (SAGL) andwill host an orientation at the beginning of each semester. For information about the orientation dates and schedule, visit http://www.wku.edu/international/orientation.php.
The orientation will also provide you with a chance to meet the Study Abroad and Global Learning (SAGL) and International Student Office (ISO) staff, and your Exchange Student Mentors and Orientation Leaders. You will also receive important information about campus facilities and services, J-1 visa regulations, and US culture and will include social events. The orientation and many of its components are MANDATORY for J-1 students.
Please inform Katherine Hale of your arrival plans and flight itinerary. Airport shuttles will be arranged free of charge for international students arriving on specific dates prior to orientation (see orientation website). Students who are living on campus will need to have their student ID number available for check-in. Students who have chosen to live off-campus are responsible for working with their private housing organization to schedule check-in. If you arrive prior to the official check-in date, you will need to arrange hotel accommodations or summer housing. For more information on temporary summer housing, click here.
