Once You Have Arrived

Congratulations! You are at WKU!

The Study Abroad and Global Learning Office (SAGL) and the International Student Office (ISO) will host an orientation at the beginning of each semester. All incoming international students (including J-1 students) should arrive and check-in by January 19th at the Sofia-Downing Center. Orientation will be on January 20th and 21st and a detailed schedule will be provided during check-in.

We will have break-out sessions for J-1 visa holders like you, where your specific needs as Exchange Visitors will be addressed. The orientation will also provide you with a chance to meet the Study Abroad and Global Learning (SAGL), International Student Office (ISO) staff, and Exchange Student Mentors. The orientation and many of its components are MANDATORY for J-1 students.

Please inform Katherine Haleof your arrival plans and flight itinerary. Please note, exchange students are responsible for their own transportation arrangements from the airport to their residence. Students who are living on campus will need to have their student id number available for check-in. Students who have chosen to live off-campus are responsible for working with their private housing organization to schedule check-in.
