This is Abbie Hutchison...

I am so sorry it has taken me so long to start a blog, but I still have 3 and a half more months here and have figured out how to work everything on the blog and also have gottten use to the way to get to town to use the internet.

I am living pretty deep within the jungle and it is difficult to get to town. For example, today once I got onto one of the busses we were going down the long gravel road that is treacherous. We always need to be careful of land slides and also there is a waterfall that goes though the road. When it rains hard the waterfall is so big that it reaches from one side of the road to another and on the other side there is and big drop off.

Well, today we didn´t have any problems with these things but at one point there was a loud noise that came from under the bus and then everything started smoking. We all rushed off thinking the bus was on fire and would blow up...Turns out it was on fire but only for a little while and it was a small one, so we all waited a little while for it to cool down and then climbed back on to try to make it to the closest town that has another bus. A ride that usually takes an hour.

So, yeah sometimes it is difficult to get to town to use the internet. I have started the blog and will add some pictures and stuff this weekend because I will be in town again this weekend. I hope all is well in Bowling Green. here is the link if you want to post it to the study abroad page...
