WKU STUDENT RESEARCH COUNCIL
Mission: The WKU Student Research Council encourages student involvement in scholarly activities and coordinates the annual WKU Student Research Conference.
Vision: As a result of the WKU Student Research Council’s efforts, Western Kentucky University will be widely recognized as a premiere institution for student involvement in scholarly activities.
WKU Student Research Council Responsibilities:
- To facilitate the annual WKU Student Research Conference.
- To encourage student involvement in scholarly activities.
- To encourage faculty mentoring of students.
- To investigate funding for student research opportunities.
The success of the WKU Student Research Council depends upon a university-wide commitment to participation and collaboration. The 2008-2009 WKU Student Research Council includes the following representatives and the areas they represent:
