Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM)
The Biotechnology S-STEM Program at WKU provides scholarships of up to $10,000 as well as academic and career assistance to selected participants. Incoming freshmen and transfer students with majors in agriculture, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, or mathematics and an interest in biotechnology, broadly defined, are eligible to apply. Selection of students will be based on a combination of academic talent, financial need, and statements of career goals.
In addition to scholarships, students selected to participate in the S-STEM program will benefit from:
- Opportunities to conduct research,
- Support in finding and securing internships,
- Career and academic mentoring, and
- Participation in a community of S-STEM students with similar interests and goals.
