Courses and Advising
Marie teaches Leadership Studies including LEAD 200 – Intro to Leadership Studies and LEAD 395 – Contemporary Leadership Issues. She also serves as the undergraduate advisor for the Organizational Leadership major.
In 1992, Marie and her husband, Ed, along with their two young children moved to Bowling Green from their home in California. Ed took a position in the Political Science department at WKU. Marie began teaching at WKU in 2005, first teaching Intro to Psychology and then teaching in Leadership Studies where she is still currently teaching and advising. Since being here, she and her family have enjoyed two sabbaticals – one in CA and one in England - where they lived for one year in the Gatehouse at Harlaxton. Marie has taught high school English and Psychology, worked in telecommunications and human resources, and has also worked as a therapist. She has a Masters in Marriage and Family counseling and is a Certified Leadership Coach. Her favorite free time activity is reading, especially with a fire in the fireplace and a good cup of coffee.
