External Funding Opportunity Resources

PIVOT

COS Pivot is a comprehensive research tool that combines an extensive funding opportunity database with researcher profiles. This resource allows faculty, staff researchers, and graduate students the ability to create and save funding opportunity searches, track funding announcements, and automatically receive funding notices and updates.  Additionally, Pivot users are able to search for collaborators at institutions worldwide and share funding opportunities with others.  COS Pivot includes funding opportunities for all disciplines and project types, issued by federal and non-federal sources, including foundations.

The Office of Sponsored Programs regularly hosts workshops to introduce faculty and staff to the resources that Pivot provides.  A schedule of upcoming workshops is available on the Seminars page.

If you would like to begin a funding opportunity search, please use the Pivot search bar provided below.  If you are interested in creating an account or developing your profile as a faculty/staff researcher, please visit the Pivot log in page or contact proposal.development@wku.edu

Grants Resource Center (GRC)

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities' (AASCU) Grants Resource Center (GRC) GrantSearch database contains descriptions, deadlines and contact information on nearly 2,000 federal and private funding programs of particular interest to higher education institutions that subscribe to GRC services. The GrantSearch database is available to WKU faculty and staff and contains programs that support academic activities such as research and training, fellowships, program development, and equipment acquisition. All featured programs cater to national or large regional audiences, and most are geared to faculty or postdoctoral investigators. Each entry outlines the overall program purposes and priorities, deadline(s), and contact information. To search via GrantSearch or see current GRC Deadlines, contact the Office of Sponsored Programs at 745-4652 or proposal.development@wku.edu for the appropriate username/password.
