Community College / Junior College Transfers

 

Community College/Junior College Transfers who have completed two years at a community or junior college may apply for a Community/Junior College Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of college academic achievement. Applications may be obtained online, printed and submitted to the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Applications may also be obtained from a community college counselor or in the Office of Student Financial Assistance, 317 Potter Hall. To receive full consideration by the scholarship committee, applications must be received by April 1.

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS

  1. Under FORMS listed above, scroll down to Scholarship Applications and choose COMMUNITY COLLEGE/JUNIOR COLLEGE TRANSFER STUDENTS.
  2. Print application and complete with accurate information.
  3. Mail completed application to the Office of Student Financial Assistance, 1906 College Heights Blvd. #11018, Bowling Green, KY 42101-1018
  4. Deadline:  Applications must be received by April 1st.

 

ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

  • Kentucky Community Technical College System (KCTCS) Transfer Scholarship - Transfer students from KCTCS with an Associate Degree and a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.25; Full-time students will receive a $4,000 scholarship; Renewable for up to two academic years with a cumulative GPA of 3.25.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

Community College/Junior College Transfers from non KCTCS Institutions who have completed two years at a Community or Junior College may apply for a Commmunity/Junior College Scholarship.  These scholarships are awarded on the basis of college academic achievement.

Other factors considered are:  hours earned in a community college, college and community activities, community college attended, and college major.

Scholarships are $1,500 per year for a maximum of two years.

 

Applications will be available between February 1st through April 1st.
