Process for Selection of WKU’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Theme

  1. SACS Leadership Team (SACS LT) constructs a short list of potential themes.

  2. The short list is posted on the SACS website for review by interested members of the campus community and is presented to representative campus groups for feedback:
    • Council of Academic Deans
    • Administrative Council
    • Executive Committee of the University Senate
    • Executive Committee of the Student Government Association
    • Unit Heads/Directors in the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Services

  3. SACS LT revises list of proposed themes based on the feedback it receives. If significant revisions are made, the revised list is circulated among campus groups for further feedback.

  4. SACS LT prepares a summary of each potential theme’s strengths and weaknesses as a QEP theme for WKU and makes a recommendation to the Provost.

  5. The Provost reviews information submitted by the SACS LT and makes a recommendation to the President.

  6. The President selects the theme.

  7. Faculty, staff, and student groups participate in developing and implementing QEP plan, under leadership of QEP Implementation Committee.
