3.2.7 Organizational Structure
Commission Standard: The institution has a clearly defined and published organizational structure that delineates responsibility for the administration of policies .
Status: In Compliance
Rationale: KRS 164.350 (1.d) gives state boards of regents the authority to “determine the number of divisions, departments, bureaus, offices, and agencies needed for the successful conduct of the affairs of the university or college,” and the same duty is specified in the regents' bylaws (article 1, section D).
The institutional organizational chart, published in the university's annually updated Fact Book , identifies the administrative officer responsible for implementation of policies in each area of institutional operations.
