Guidelines
For the 2009-2010 academic year (including summer 09), wkuREAL students may apply for a tuition scholarship of up to $1000, by submitting materials according to the following guidelines:
Criteria for Scholarship # 1:
Students must:
- Be enrolled at Western Kentucky University for a minimum of six (6) hours during the semester in which the scholarship will be awarded.
- Have minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading system.
- Be an adult learner (please see wkuREAL website at www.wku.edu/real)
Criteria for Scholarship # 2:
Students must:
- Be enrolled at Western Kentucky University for a minimum of twelve (12) hours during the semester in which the scholarship will be awarded.
- Have minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 grading system.
- Be an adult learner, (please see wkuREAL website at www.wku.edu/real), female, and returning to college after at least a two-year absence, and be within two years of completion.
In order to be considered, applicants must submit the application form and supporting documents by the April 1 deadline.
Completed Application packet for should include:
- A completed application form (attached)
- A statement discussing the reasons for financial need and what academic and career goals you have established
- Unofficial College Transcripts
All Applicants are strongly encouraged to fill out the FAFSA by the priority deadline of April 1. Submit completed application and supporting documents to:
