As in past years, we had many more applicants than we had scholarships. It is always a difficult task to narrow down the field of applicants to a few recipients. We wish we had scholarships for all of our adult learners in need, but this is not the case. For those who did not receive a WKU REAL scholarship check the links below to other grant opportunities from agencies outside the university.

Community Services Block Grant

Community Action of Southern Kentucky, Inc. accepts applications each spring for the annual Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Scholarship. The CSBG Scholarship helps provide training or retraining required for the local job market. The CSBG Scholarship is open to income-eligible individuals wanting to return to school or continue their education. Scholarship benefits can be applied to fees, tuition, or textbooks at a college/university, vocational/technical school, or trade/professional program.
