The president of WKU is Gary A. Ransdell. He has been Western's president since September 9, 1997. He is the University's ninth president. Dr. Ransdell received his bachelor's degree from Western in 1973 in mass communications, a master of public service degree in public administration in 1974, and a doctor of education degree from Indiana University in 1978. When was WKU founded?
