WKU offices in Bowling Green will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Classes Friday remain canceled and campuses in Glasgow, Owensboro and Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox remain closed Friday. Saturday classes in Bowling Green will proceed as scheduled. Here is a link to the University’s attendance policy during adverse weather conditions. Use caution and watch for slick spots on roads and walks.

Public Health

Bachelor of Science in Public Health offers two concentrations :

Public health work is done in a wide variety of settings in the public and private sectors. The mission of the Department of Public Health is to provide quality learning experiences and professional preparation for students, and to promote excellence in learning, teaching, scholarship and community service. Environmental health professionals are best known for their efforts to ensure safe food, water, air quality and sanitary conditions.

The different categories are :

Health Care Administration

The Department of Public Health offers a bachelors of science program in Health Care Administration (major with no minor requirements). This program prepares the student for management and administrative positions in various types of health care facilities, organizations, and agencies such as hospitals, special care units, nursing facilities, home health, group medical practices, health maintenance organizations, public health agencies, outpatient surgery centers and clinics.
