National Volunteer Week at WKU

Across our great nation, many campuses and communities celebrate National Volunteer Week in April, and Western Kentucky University's ALIVE Center for Community Partnerships and Leadership & Volunteerism office collaborates each year to encourage campus and community members to volunteer and celebrate volunteers. This year, we will celebrate National Volunteer Week April 23-27, 2012, one week after the national recognition week. With this year's theme, WKU's Project Transform, we have activities planned for different days of the week, and we would appreciate your support in making the week a success.

Monday, April 23rd

8:00am - 4:30pm - A Brush with Kindness begins with five homes

11:00am - 2:00pm - Alex's Lemonade Stands at WKU

Tuesday, April 24th

8:00am - 4:30pm - A Brush with Kindness continues

8:00am - 4:30pm - Donation Day (household items will be collected for the A Brush with Kindness recipients) View the A Brush with Kindness page for the list of items.

Wednesday, April 25th

8:00am - 4:30pm - A Brush with Kindness continues

11:00am-5:00pm - Yard Sale for American Red Cross Disaster Relief

Thursday, April 26th

8:00am - 4:30pm - A Brush with Kindness continues

11:00am-1:00pm - Give Back Day (donated items will be delivered to A Brush with Kindness recipients)

Friday, April 27th

8:00am - 4:30pm - A Brush with Kindness continues

7:00pm-7:00am - Relay for Life at WKU
