Research
My research explores the intersection of business and culture in twentieth-century France. I am currently working on a commercial and cultural history of the Tour de France bicycle race. I use the event to analyze the evolution of commercialized mass culture in modern France and as a case study in relations between Paris and French provincial towns during the 20th century.
