Heather Cowherd wins two awards

MPA student Heather Cowherd has been selected to serve as a member of

the 2010 Kentucky Derby Festival Royal Court. Heather will represent
the city of Louisville and the Commonwealth as one of five Princesses
selected. As an ambassador she's responsible for attending numerous

events prior to and during the Kentucky Derby Festival. She has also
received a scholarship as part of her selection.

Heather has also received a Congressional Award for excellence in
Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and
Expedition/Exploration. The bronze medal will be awarded by a member of
Congress at a future date.

The Political Science Department would like to congratulate Heather for
her prestigious achievements and for continually serving the University
with pride.
