WKU POLICE DEPARTMENT The Western Kentucky University Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2006 University Police Academy. The intent of the University Police Academy is not to train participants to become law enforcement officers, but to develop a mutual respect between the students, faculty, staff and the police department. This mutual respect is achieved through an intense course of study provided by the UPA Instructors. The courses range from Criminal Investigations, and Patrol Procedures to Firearms and D.U.I. Detection. |

* Safety Procedures and Use of Force (Live Fire Practical Exercise) |
