Cell Phone and Emergency Messaging
Notification Instructions

WKU has developed the capability to send emergency text messages to faculty, staff and student cell phones in the event of an emergency. The “Emergency Authorization” box below provides you the option to authorize the receipt of emergency text messages to the cell phone number listed. You may incur charges for text messages sent to your cell phone depending on your cell phone plan and provider, and you will be responsible for any such charges.

To sign up for this service, follow the following directions:

• Log into TopNet
• Click the "Continue Login" Button
• Click on the "Personal Information" tab at the top
• Click on the "View / Update Cell Phone Messaging Notification" Link
• Fill out this page with your information
• Click "Submit"

You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your cell phone number, so please review the information carefully and make any additions/changes.
