Planning, Design & Construction’s Purchasing department is comprised of Warren Whitfield, Manager of Construction Purchasing, and Danielle Burris, Construction Purchasing Associate. PDC Purchasing is responsible for purchasing construction, materials and equipment (both for new construction and renovations), as well as all furniture campus wide. PDC Purchasing also issues and maintains job order contracts such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, masonry and many others. The Model Procurement Code KRS 45.A is strictly followed using price contracts, bids or small purchase authority.
Policy & Procedures
Purchase orders are REQUIRED for ALL services rendered or material/equipment purchased. Under no circumstances are vendors to supply such goods or services without a University PO number or P-Card transaction (must be authorized by a University Buyer). Any orders placed by individuals outside the Procurement department will be considered a personal transaction between the vendor and departmental individual.
