Scott Stroot - Professor

Prior to his appointment as professor of Theatre at Western, Scott served as Artistic Director of the Minnesota Shakespeare Company in Minneapolis as a founding member of the Massachusetts based performance art collaborative In Collusion, performance columnist for the arts journals ArtNEW England and P-form, and professor of Theatre/Chair of the Creative Arts Division at Bradford College in Massachusetts.  Since moving to Bowling Green, Scott has collaborated on creative projects with with the Public Theatre of Kentucky, The Kentucky Repertory Theatre in Horse Cave, the Bowling Green Symphony Orchestra, and WKYU Public Radio. After serving eight years as Department Head, Scott has recently chosen to step away from a life of administrivia and resume full time teaching in the department.  The courses he has taught include Voice & Movement for the Stage, Acting III, Directing, Theatre History, Music Theatre Performance, Stage Management and Taiji.
