Careers and languages
Are you interested in teaching? If so, you may have your college loans forgiven. Teach another language and go to college for free! Have a look at the Modern Languages departmental web page for information on other careers and languages. Click on the Careers Project information site on the web page sponsored by the Southern Conference on Language Teaching at www.scolt.org. Take a look at job postings on-line at sites like Monster.com. Meet with the departmental academic advisor, Professor Susann Davis, to peruse her notebook full of other interesting examples. You will be pleasantly surprised at the number of employers who need employees with proficiency in languages other than English.
