Senior Flute Students, Kallie Rogers and Melissa Gensler study abroad

Study Abroad students, Melissa Gensler and Kallie Rogers, studied in Europe this summer. Melissa and Kallie are flute majors, studying in Heidi Pintner's WKU studio.  Melissa refined her artistry in Casperia, Italy, studying with Grammy-Award winning Rhonda Larson.  Kallie studied in Sayalonga, Spain, with Dutch flutist-composer Wil Offermans.

WKU Chorale to engage in Fall Performance Tour

WKU Chorale to Engage in Fall Performance Tour

The WKU Chorale will be engaged in a Fall Performance Tour.  This
flagship chorale ensemble, conducted by Paul Hondorp, will perform in
Kentucky at The Louisville Christian Academy, Paducah-Tilghman High School,
Marshall County High School, Meade County High School and John Hardin
High School. 

WKU Conductor's Professional Development Workshop - November

WKU Conductor's Professional Development Workshop - November

The Conductor's Professional Development Workshop will be offered on
November 19-21, 2009, and will be limited to the first 16 enrollees who
will have the opportunity to work with conductors Richard Floyd
(University of Texas), Barry Kraus (Belmont University) and Gary
Schallert, Jeff Bright and Bill Scott (Western Kentucky University). 
After these slots are filled, applicants can attend the workshop through
the Observer Track.  The Conductor's Track is set at $100 and the
Observer Track is $60, mailed to WKU Band, Department of Music, 1906
College Heights Blvd., #41029, Bowling Green, KY 42101.

Van Meter Renovation Update

The construction crew for Van Meter renovations continue to move the schedule closer to the finish line.  It is anticipated that the renovations may be complete by the end of 2009 instead of the originally forecast June 2010.
