Guidelines for retaining a GSA Scholarship in Performing Arts
Ratified by the Department of Theatre and Dance Faculty 8/24/06
To retain your GSA Scholarship in the PERFORMING ARTS (all concentrations) you must:

Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all courses required by your chosen degree program and concentration.

Participate fully in the department’s Jury/Portfolio review process, and receive a rating of at least “satisfactory” for every review session, and a rating of “excellent” in the 4th through 8th semester review sessions.
In addition, GSA Scholars in the PERFORMING ARTS pursuing a concentration in DANCE must:
- Audition for, be admitted to and remain a member in good standing of the WKU Dance Company every semester.
Changing Majors or Concentrations
- Students who choose to change majors or BFA concentrations after they have been offered a GSA scholarship risk having the scholarship rescinded. The decision to continue or rescind a GSA scholarship in such cases rests solely with the department faculty
