WKU-O REAL (Reaching Each Adult Learner)

Adult learners (non-traditional students) are typically students who are married, have children, are 25 years of age or older, or are resuming their studies after a break from college. Non-traditional students face a unique set of challenges. Sometimes it’s hard to blend into the college setting when being a student is not your full–time job. We understand and are here to help!

We provide an opportunity for non-traditional students to have their questions answered, get connected to the proper services, and receive personalized support. The staff at the WKU–Owensboro Regional Campus is committed to providing all the resources adult learners need to be successful at WKU.

What We can offer

  • Caring advocates who will help you work through issues related to attending college.
  • Flexible meeting options, during and after work hours, day and evening, traditional face-to-face, and courses online.
  • Knowledgeable staff who can help identify university offerings, i.e. flexible courses, programs, and community services available to adult learners.

Join the thousands of working adults enrolling in colleges and universities across the country. If you want to earn a degree, upgrade your skills, make a career change, or just take courses for personal enrichment, contact WKU REAL in Owensboro for more information on how to get started.
